Sat April 26th at 8:30 am.  Scatter to Serve at First Presbyterian Church in Charleston. Meet at the dining room….work starts at 9:30 and your team is usually done by 1 pm.  Work includes dog walking and clearing trails at the Humane association, gardening at Habitat for Humanity, Manna Meal gardens and Hubbard hospice house, packing food boxes and cleaning apartments for Rea of Hope.

Sunday April 27th from 2-3:30 pm a YOGA hike at Kanawha State Forest. Meet at the State Forest gift shop (7500 Kanawha State Forest Drive) bring some water, bug spray and a yoga mat ….the hike is rated moderate. The Cost is $25. (Please do not bring DOGS, also Children under the age of 9 and pregnant people are not permitted to participate.)

Sat May 10 the WV University Extension Service’s Master Gardener program in Kanawha County will hold their annual plant sale from

8 am-1 pm at the Riverside Pavilion at Coonskin Park.  This event is FREE and open to the public.  You’ll find house plants, perennials, annual, shrubs, bulbs and vegetable plants….new this year is an added focus on pollinator and native plans.  They’ll also have garden tools, pots and anything else garden related. Sat May 10 in Ripley the Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and Walk. Visit www.t2t.org Funds raised go to the Tunnel to Towers program, honoring first responders who die in the line of duty.

Tuesday May 20 the Hurricane Civic Chorus will have a FREE concert starting at 7:30 pm at Forrest Burdette Memorial UMC in Hurricane.
