Thurs. Fri and Saturday the Contemporary Youth Arts Company presents “MARY” at the Capitol Center Theater in Charleston
Thursdays (6-9 pm), Fridays (6-9 pm) Saturdays (noon- 9pm) Sundays (1 PM -6 pm) in the month of December See the LIGHTS and TRAINS at Coonskin Park. Admission is FREE to see the trains at the Entrance of the Park.
Friday in Dunbar the Christmas Parade….starts at 7 pm from the Dunbar Tool Bridge then north to Dunbar Avenue and 16th, then Myers Avenue and ends at City hall on Myers…after the parade the City will hold a light the Christmas Tree celebration with music photos with Santa and hot chocolate.
Friday it’s Supper with Santa and Rudolph at the Elk river Church of the Nazarene Fellowship Hall (143 Dutch Road, Charleston WV.) this event is FREE with concessions available for a donation…bring your own camera!
Friday (6:30-9:30) and Saturday (10 am-5 pm) the 11th Annual River Arts Sale at Charleston’s Unitarian Universalist congregation….a great variety of unique, locally created fine art and exquisite handcrafts.
Friday and Saturday at the Clay Center the ZMM Orchestra Pops Series presents “Home for the Holidays” with holiday favorites and special touches…..
Friday and Saturday the Clay County Church Groups will present their first live nativity scene…an outdoor guided tour with warm drinks and desserts at the end…the event will be held at Clay County Park and Ride off of Route 4 in Maysel at starts promptly at 6 pm.
Friday a Concert to benefit the heart and Hand Christmas food Baskets. Don Gibson and the Velvetones from 7-10 pm at the LaBelle theatre on “D” Street in South Charleston. Admission is 5 canned food or staple foods.

The Ovis project is hosting the Arts, Crafts, and Vendor Holiday Extravaganza at the Charleston Civic Center Friday DEC 6th from 4-9 pm…unique gifts and holiday decorations…handmade arts and crafts and vendors …the Ovis Project is a local charity committed to helping area residents with basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter. Admission is FREE.
